UKIP: Gerard Batten racism accusations
Hello Campers!
You will recall that allegations of racism were made against Batten by a former member of his staff. He was also accused of electoral and financial irregularities. We note that the case against him continues. We also note that REPORTING RESTRICTIONS have been removed by the Judge. This was despite Batten's desperate attempts to gag the press and use the police to intimidate those who dared to mention the hearing on their websites or blogs. LINK
The Judge has quite rightly rejected Batten's pathetic attempts to silence the truth.
An insider has this to say:
It is untrue he was found not guilty because the case was not fully heard. All that happened was that he lost his precious reporting restriction and now everything can be openly written about. Judge rightly said he is politician, is open to public scrutiny, is nothing special and reporting restriction discharged.
Batten's actions make a mockery of Farage's so-called support for the reform of Section 5 of The Public Order Act:
But the principle that freedom of speech, a basic Liberty, must be defended and protected from well meaning legislation is one that UKIP has supported for years. We have had a commitment to reform Section 5 almost since we had any commitments.
In a robust democracy people must be free to insult and be insulted. We have laws that protect against incitement to violence and hatred, that should be enough. To protect my feelings from those who wish to laugh at me or hold me in contempt is a freedom I never wanted, nor hoped for.
So three cheers for this campaign, three cheers for those like Peter Tatchell, The Christian Institute, David Davis, The National Secular Society, the Freedom Association, Big Brother Watch and all the others standing up for the liberty of people to throw verbal brickbats around."
What a pity that he doesn't apply this to his own party where censorship and intimidation of members are the norm! The UKIP members only forum is just one example of this. Posts are regularly removed if they dare to criticise Farage and his cronies. See: LINK
And remember how Dr Eric Edmond and Dr David Abbott were thrown off the NEC for daring to raise concerns about corruption in UKIP? The so-called leadership then tried to smear them by claiming they were BNP supporters. LINK
And remember when Del Young was subjected to similar treatment? LINK
The reform of Section 5 is just another bandwagon for Farage to jump on in a desperate bid for more publicity. Yet another example of UKIP hypocrisy from UKIP's Hypocrite-in-Chief!

UKIP councillor is a tweet
Farage will probably ask him to become an MEP after reading this. He'll feel right at home exploring the fleshpots of Brussels with Nigel, Godfrey and chums!
From the Shields Gazette:
CONTROVERSIAL councillor David Potts today has come under fire from a former political ally for publicly tweeting American porn stars.
The 29-year-old – who is facing fresh calls for his resignation after being labelled as vindictive and a bully by Town Hall chiefs for saying the borough had a “poxy backwater council” – is facing more flak for his actions on social networking site Twitter.
Councillor asked to quit over new Twitter slurs
Coun Potts, who represents UKIP in the borough’s Cleadon and East Boldon ward, asked former American porn star Mercedes Ashley – described on her profile as LA-based who has starred in more than 183 adult movies – to send a congratulatory message to his fellow ward councillor Jeff Milburn for being re-elected earlier this month.
However, the borough’s only Conservative councillor was horrified to discover he had been associated with such tweets.
He said: “I must admit I don’t go on Twitter daily, so I wasn’t aware of this, and as far as I am aware, I have not been contacted by any American porn stars.
“But I do not think this behaviour is acceptable or appropriate for a councillor. He should not be sending tweets like this in the public domain.”
But a defiant Coun Potts is standing by his actions, and says if people are offended they shouldn’t read his Tweets.
He said: “I have not encouraged former porn stars to contact my ward colleagues.
“I asked a personal friend, who is a former adult entertainment professional, to e-mail Coun Jeff Milburn congratulating him on his victory.
“I do not in any way judge people by what they do for a living.”
Yesterday’s Gazette, pictured, revealed how a constituent was angered at being invited to a possible wives and swingers ‘W&S’ party by Coun Potts, who also likened the event to a ‘bunga bunga’ gathering – an Italian word to describe an orgy.
Coun Potts protested his innocence and said ‘W&S’ simply stood for wine and sandwiches.
However, earlier this month he also entered a Twitter conversation with online sex website @AdultPlayParlour, during which the adult website congratulates him for being so ‘hardcore’.
When the Gazette contacted the former Tory councillor over whether the nature of some of his tweets were appropriate, he said: “My personal sexual preferences are an issue entirely for me. I do not do anything illegal or immoral.
“I confess that I have a libertine attitude towards sexual relations between consenting adults.
“My attitude is that if we all made love and not war, the world would be a much better place.
“Finally, I would add that I do not write my tweets as a councillor, but rather as a trader. If you don’t like them, then I suggest you don’t read them.”
Coun Potts will face the standards committee – an independent council watchdog – after he received a criminal caution for unauthorised disclosure of personal data earlier this year.
He took documents from a behind-closed- doors Town Hall meeting and handed them to the Gazette earlier this year.

UKIP: Why you shouldn't listen to polls
Another glass of wine, Mr Farage?
Nigel's useful idiots in the weeks prior to the elections were positively salivating after reading opinion polls which appeared to show that UKIP was ahead of the Lib Dems. More level headed UKIPPERS - and the GLW and Junius blogs - tried to point out that such polls were unreliable and should not be taken at face value. In December, we published recent election results which illustrated the folly of heeding such polls. All showed that UKIP's actual share of the vote bore no relation to the polls. For example:
The Feltham & Heston by-election
Seema Malhotra, Labour - 12,639
Mark Bowen, Conservative - 6,436
Roger Crouch, Liberal Democrats - 1,364
Andrew Charalambous, UKIP - 1,276
David Furness, BNP - 540
Daniel Goldsmith, Green - 426
Roger Cooper, English Democrats - 322
George Hallam, London People Before Profit - 128
David Bishop, Bus-Pass Elvis Party - 93
LINK
UKIP scored a pathetic 5.49% on the day. And Labour's vote went up! And yet Farage's useful idiots still tried to spin a terrible result.
"It is becoming increasingly clear that UKIP is a refreshing alternative to the tired old status quo. The Lib Dems are almost a busted flush. People are turning to UKIP as they realise we are serious when it comes to putting Britain first." From the official UKIP website.
More election results from last year.......
Westbourne, Brighton and Hove
| Conservative | 1,027 |
| Labour | 826 |
| Green | 645 |
| Lib Dem | 45 |
| UKIP | 36 |
| Trade Unionists & Socialists Against Cuts | 20 |
| European Citizens Party | 13 |
| Worlingham, Suffolk Con | 706 |
| Lab | 586 |
| Green | 137 |
| UKIP | 64 |
| LD | 46 |
Hardly suggestive of a major breakthrough in British politics! But these facts were ignored. In Farage's 'New Year Message' to his followers.
"For UKIP 2011 saw us clearly establish ourselves as the 4th party in domestic politics".
Stuart Parr - never one to let the truth get in the way of a good lie - even went on record as saying on Farage Sycophants 4 UKIP that "UKIP is quite firmly cemented as the third party in English local politics".
Polls continued to be quoted. UKIPPERS - including Parr - predicted that the party would win seats in the London Assembly and that Lawrence Webb would come third in the mayoral elections. They also boasted that UKIP would win seats up and down the country.
The press was no different:
The Telegraph on the London Assembly elections:
"The BNP are forecast to lose their one seat and UKIP to gain their first two seats". LINK
Or......
The Liberal Democrats have fallen into fourth place behind Ukip in a shock poll result which will cement a sense of crisis in the party.
Just a day after a poll found the Liberal Democrats would be all but wiped out if a general election were held now, a YouGov survey for the Sun put the party on eight per cent – one point behind Ukip.
The result comes as it emerged Liberal Democrat councillors in North Tyneside have wiped all mention of their party from election leaflets in a bid to cling onto their seats.
It will also boost expectations for Ukip's success in the upcoming local elections.

And what happened on May 3rd?
UKIP's national share of the vote was just 5%. They won just nine council seats. They made no net gains. No seats were won in London and Lawrence Webb got under 2% of the vote! They only managed to contest 30% of the seats up for grabs. And the Lib Dems still managed to get 16% of the national vote!
So have Nigel's useful idiots now seen reason? Not on your life!
The latest post from Stuart Parr's Farage Sycophants 4 UKIP blog:
UKIP pull 2% clear of Lib Dems in YouGov poll
UKIP has pulled 2% clear of the Lib Dems in the latest YouGov daily poll which puts Labour on 44%, the Tories on 31%, UKIP on 9% and the Lib Dems on 7%.
It was left to Richard Allen - leading UKIP activist - to deal in some reality control:
London exclusive polling had us round about 5% for the assembly so it always looked touch and go. Anyone making a confident prediction of an assembly seat on those numbers was an idiot. Parr was even worse, he consistently used London sub samples of national polls which related to GE voting intentions. LINK
And.....
Stuart Parr is a complete and utter fool and much of what he writes on his blog is complete nonsense. Like many people in UKIP he selectively quotes opinion polls, while have almost zero understanding of opinion polling, and as such confidently predicted that UKIP would win assembly seats. He now needs an excuse to explain why it didn't happen. LINK
Nuff said!

UKIP: Paul Nuttall fails to deliver on his promises
When first elected, the odious Paul Nuttall made a pledge of 'openness and transparancy' when it came to his expenses. He lied! A quick check on his website reveals that he has failed to publish ANY information regarding his accounts/expenses since 2010! LINK
And he has been less than transparent when it comes to the information he has made available. For instance, he fails to name who works for him, how much he pays them or even how much he earns as an MEP in a single tax year. LINK
Nuttall has done extremely well at the UK/EU taxpayers expense. Indeed, he has openly boasted to his colleagues in Brussels about how much he earned since becoming an MEP. What a pity that he is less open when it comes to his constituents in the North West.
Nuttall is just another disgusting hypocrite whose claims to hate the EU but is always the first in line when it comes to getting his snout in the trough. Only Nigel Farage surpasses him in greed and hypocrisy!

UKIP and their fascist allies: Getting drunk for Britain
Fascists might not be able to organise a p*ss up in a brewery, but they can certainly have a good time in Brussels at taxpayer's expense!
Last week, Farage's UKIP organised an event over in Brussels to highlight the absurdities of EU legislation on wine labelling. An English producer had fallen foul of legislation that has been in place for many a year, and so Farage saw a chance to score a cheap political point and get bladdered at the same time.
How nice to note that UKIP were joined at the event by one of their colleagues from Bloom's pan-European political party, the EAF. UKIP MEPs and staff seemed so comfortable in the company of Marine Le Pen, with Farage's gopher positively fawning over her to the point of embarrassment.
As one wag from another political group commented "The UKIP nutters made her look positively normal by comparison".
Lesson 1. If you are going to court extreme right contacts in the EU and try to hide the fact at home, don't be seen in public by politicians from rival political parties in the company of Front Nationale and Vlaams Belang!

Another UKIP round-up
Senator Farage?
Readers of this blog may recall that Farage has long expressed a desire to place his backside on the read leather in the House of Lords.
The news that the Lords may be replaced by an elected Upper House - Senate - has Nigel positively slavering at the mouth like one of Pavlov's dogs!
Extract from The Telegraph:
Nigel Farage, the leader of the UK Independence Party, both indicated they would consider standing for an elected Upper House.
Mr Farage said he expected the use of proportional representation suggested his party would do well in elections to the Senate.
“This could be very good for us as party,” he said. “But is Lords reform in the interests of the country at a time like this? Absolutely not.”
To read the full article: LINK
It may not be in the interests of the country but that won't stop Farage seeking to get a place on the UK's latest proposed gravy train.
Nigel Farage’s patriotism is only skin deep.
As an MEP he has claimed over £2 million in expenses. He also employs his wife using EU money and is set to get a massive EU pension when he finally stands down as an MEP.
Remember when he said he would publish a list of all his expenses?
"We are the only people who are intending, annually, to publish so that the public can inspect them, our expense accounts, our allowance accounts, and the excess that we get – the excess that we are forced to take – particularly on travelling allowances."
And remember the promise to start a fund for all those who had suffered at the hands of the EU?
He soon forgot those promises, didn’t he?
Farage has done very, very well out of the EU. Why would he want to derail it?
It is about time UKIPPERS realised this. UKIP is simply a vehicle to satisfy his greed and desire for personal advancement.
Kevin Mahoney
Kevin Mahoney was one of two UKIPPERS elected in the recent council elections in Wales. Some Welsh UKIPPERS have now suggested that he should replace John Bufton as lead MEP candidate in 2014. Bufton is now out of favour with Farage, plus he has health problems.
Mr Mahoney may have ambitions to represent UKIP in Brussels - ambitions that are sadly not matched by any signs of intellect on his part. For instance, here is an example of how he responds to criticism from a political opponent:
"Fuck off and get a life you sad boring little wanker". LINK
It should be remembered Mahoney will need the support of Farage if he wants a place on the EU Gravy Train. And Farage was reported to be less than pleased when he read Mahoney's comments on the UKIP Members Forum:
Given that apparently a report examining and damning just 167 expense claims from 2004 is now about to be released.
Isn't it about time that the scandal of our own UKIP MEPs hiding their expense claims with that 'Insult to the intelligence' expense template that they concocted and publish on the MEP's website is scrapped and replaced with a full and frank display of every penny that they claim?
Apart from the very obvious fact that they should have openly declared every penny claimed since first being elected the only rational conclusion to be reached from the insult that is their current partially obscured expense claim pages is that our MEPs en-bloc are trying to hide the scale of their claims.
Lets at last try and display a touch of honesty and transparency from those who appear to have taken the cash but are not so keen to openly display how much!
To be honest I feel that each and every UKIP MEP who agreed to adopt the travesty of the current expense declaration template in use at present should hang their heads in shame and not be allowed to stand again on a UKIP ticket in my opinion!

Ouch!
Further hypocrisy from the odious Paul Nuttall
The odious Paul Nuttall got rather worked up after hearing the news that Eurocrats were having a good time using our money. Europe Day was the cause for celebration.
"How dare the Eurocrats party on down to nightclub sounds, free concerts and cookery displays when so many are suffering.
"The European Parliament is boasting of Laughter Yoga sessions which describes itself as not needing, 'a sense of humour, no funny jokes or comedy programmes - just a willingness to laugh'. How appropriate. The Eurocrats are laughing at us, quite literally, at our expense. These people are like the ancien regime, they have learnt nothing from the past few years.
"They carry on in their insulated bubble, divorced from reality, pretending that all is well behind their subsidised walls. It is a disgrace, but reveals the contempt with which they hold the populations of the European Union."
The words 'pot calling the kettle black' do rather spring to mind when hearing this. This is the same man who has been heard to boast in Brussels about how much money he has earned since becoming an MEP. Hypocrite!
